Meet the new IQ3 100MP Trichromatic
Thanks to Capture One and all the years of collaboration with different sensor manufacturers, Phase One has been acquiring the knowledge that has allowed them to improve the way their sensors capture and process colour. Thanks to these years of research and working hand in hand with Sony, they have made the sensor that most closely approximates how the human eye captures the colour of our environment.
The human eye is trichromatic, we appreciate reality thanks to the ability to capture green, red and blue independently. Most modern sensors use the same system, but up to a certain level of efficiency, always having some minimal colour deviation towards one of the three channels. This new technology not only avoids the contamination of some sensors and gives us a more realistic colour, but also gives us better dynamic range and cleaner RAW files with reduced and more organic noise.
As we can see comparing the IQ3 100MP with the IQ3 100MP Trichromatic, the images do not have a certain bluish deviation, resulting in more realistic greens and blues. The photographs were taken at the Barcelona Botanical Garden with the XF camera and the 80mm f2.8 Blue Ring optics by Schneider.
