What are your rental conditions?

You can consult our updated rental conditions by clicking on the tab in the bar at the top of the webpage. We recommend that you read these conditions carefully, as by contracting our services you are confirming that you accept them.

Can you provide me with an online budget?

The website www.aclamfoto.cat is designed to provide you with budgets on a no-commitment basis. You can also request a no-commitment budget by e-mailing foto@aclam.cat or by calling 934 872 046.

How can I get an online budget?

On the left-hand side of the Aclam Foto website is a pull-down menu showing all the equipment we have available for hire, organised by category. If you can’t find what you’re looking for, you can also use the Search window (located to the right of the bar at the top of the page). If you still can’t find what you need, don’t hesitate to call us or send us an e-mail. Once you’ve found the product you’re looking for, simply fill out the Quantity and Days fields or Hours in case of the lab. If you wish, you can then add this information to the budget by clicking the Add to budget button. Everything you add will be saved in the budget shown on the right-hand side. At any time, you can click on the View button and modify the budget.

What do I do once I have the budget?

Once you have the final budget, click on View and save it in PDF format or print it by clicking on the printer symbol shown underneath. You can also send us the budget so that we can check availability and begin the booking process (provided the equipment is available for the dates requested).

To send us the budget, you will need to indicate the start and end dates for the rental and confirm that you are a registered user. In the event you want to rent the set or the lab you have to browse and choose on the calendar in the DAY section that appears on the budget, it is important to make both steps to generate a suitable budget.

When you click on the Send booking request button, you will be asked to enter your user details or to register by clicking on the Sign up button. A confirmation e-mail will be sent to the e-mail address you have given us, and we will contact you at this address to begin processing your booking.

What are the start and end dates for the equipment rental?

The start and end dates are the ones that book-end the period in which you will need the equipment. Remember that you can collect the equipment the afternoon before the start date, and return them the morning after the end date (see timetable information in When can I pick up the equipment?).

What are the start and end dates for the studio or lab rental?

When we speak of terms concerning to the rental of the set and the lab we consider the starting and ending hours those agreed and signed in the contract previously to its use.

For how long is the budget valid?

The budget is valid for 15 days, starting from the date it was provided. Once this period has passed (and if a booking has not been made), we recommend that you go through the budget process again, in case the tariffs have changed.

How can I become a user?

To become a user, click on the Sign up button in the top right-hand corner of the webpage. You will need to provide the information requested (only the fields marked with an asterisk are obligatory). Remember to accept the privacy policy before sending the form and to read the rental conditions provided on the Aclam Foto website. We also recommend that you receive our electronic newsletter, as this will allow us to inform you of our news and promotions.

Do I have to be a user in order to obtain a budget?

You do not have to become a user in order to obtain an estimate; however, only users can send us the estimate so that we can check availability for the equipment selected and begin processing the booking. Users also have the option to receive our electronic newsletter, to keep up to date with our news and promotions.

Can I change or delete my details?

Once you have become a user, you can change your details or unsubscribe via the account manager. To access this feature, simply enter your e-mail address and password and the My account button will appear next to your name. Click here to access all your details, and to change them whenever you wish.

What happens if I forget my password or username?

If you forget your password, click on Password reminder and we’ll send a new password to your e-mail address.

How can I make a booking?

You can make a booking by sending us the estimate you obtained online (remember that you have to become a user first). Alternatively, you can call us or send us an e-mail, and we’ll provide you with a bespoke estimate and manage your booking. When we receive a booking request, we check availability for the dates requested. If the equipment is available, we’ll send you an e-mail confirming the booking and providing details of the deposit you will be required to make. The booking will only become valid once you’ve sent us a written response confirming your acceptance of the booking.

Does the rental price include VAT?

The prices shown on our website do not include VAT; nor do they include shipping.

Does the rental price include shipping costs?

Our prices do not include shipping costs. If the equipment you request needs to be shipped anywhere, you can add this information in the Comments section of the estimate and we’ll send you the corresponding conditions and prices. You can also check these conditions by sending an e-mail to foto@aclam.cat or by calling 934 842 046.

Can I download the list of equipment prices?

The list of equipment and the corresponding prices per day (not including VAT) can be downloaded via the Tariffs tab in the bar at the top of the webpage.

Can I download the list of studio or lab prices?

In the case of the set you can download the daily rates (taxes not included) on the top bar of our site. In the case of the lab the rate list is by the hour (taxes not included) and you can also download in the same place.

What are your opening hours?

Aclam Foto is open from 9am to 7pm Monday to Friday, and from 11am to 2pm on Saturdays. You can check our timetable for pick-ups and returns via the Contact tab on the Aclam Foto website, or in the answer to the question When can I pick up the equipment?. In the event of an emergency outside our opening hours, you can call 661 689 556.

When can I pick up the equipment?

Pick-up time is from 5pm to 7pm Monday to Friday, and 1pm to 2pm on Saturdays. If these times are not convenient for you, you can consult our team by sending an e-mail to foto@aclam.cat or by calling 934 872 046.

Where do I pick the equipment up from?

You can pick the equipment up from our premises at 201 Consell de Cent in Barcelona, or we can ship them to the location of your choosing (shipping costs are not included in the prices shown). We recommend that you read the question Does the rental price include shipping costs?.

How can I reach your premises using public transport?

Our premises are located at 201 Consell de Cent, Barcelona, between calles Villarroel and Casanova in the southern part of the city’s Eixample district. You can reach us using the following public-transport options:

Metro: URGELL station, on the Red Line (L1).

Bus: Nos. 14, 20, 37, 54 , 58, 59, 64, 66.

If you come by car, you can park in one of the nearby public car parks (e.g. at 180 Consell de Cent or 60 Villarroel).

Can you send the equipment to me?

We can ship our equipment within Spain; however, the costs are not included in our tariffs. We recommend that you specify your shipping needs in the Comments section in the estimate. You can also consult our shipping conditions by sending an e-mail to foto@aclam.cat or by calling 934 842 046.

Can you send the equipment to the Canary Islands, Ceuta or Melilla?

Yes, although we recommend that you first consult our shipping conditions by sending an e-mail to foto@aclam.cat or by calling 934 842 046.

How do I pay?

Before picking the equipment up from our premises you must first pay the rental costs and leave the agreed deposit. You can make both these payments with a credit card (we do not accept cash or bank cheques) when you come to pick the equipment up. Alternatively, you can make these payments via bank transfer, provided you allow a sufficient margin of days to enable us to verify that we have received the payments. Can I pay by bank transfer?

If you are paying by bank transfer, you must allow a sufficient margin of days prior to pick-up to enable us to verify that we have received the payments. Under no circumstances will we accept a bank deposit. You can consult our conditionsby sending an e-mail to our team at foto@aclam.cat or by calling 934 842 046.

Do I have to leave a deposit / excess?

We require a deposit to be left before you pick up the equipment, consisting of a sum equivalent to the excess payable on our insurance (or, for new clients during their first few rentals, greater than the excess payable). As the size of the deposit depends on a number of factors, we will inform you of the amount in the e-mail regarding availability for your booking. 

When do I have to return the equipment?

Return times are 9am to 11am Monday to Friday, and 11am to 12 noon on Saturdays. If these times are not convenient for you, you can consult our team by sending an e-mail to foto@aclam.cat or by calling 934 872 046.

When will you return my deposit?

The deposit will be returned once the equipment is returned to us, provided all items listed in the corresponding receipt are in perfect condition. If the equipment is returned outside the return times specified in the receipt, Aclam Foto reserves the right to withhold the deposit for a period of 24 hours following return of the equipment, in order to check its condition.

When renting the studio we will return the deposit in the moment of leaving it,  if it remains in perfect conditions. If the studio is occupied after the period described in the contract, Aclam Foto has the right to keep the deposit up to 24h after the end of the rental, enough to allow Aclam Foto to check the conditions of the set.

As for the lab, the deposit will be returned in the moment that the rental ends, as long as the lab and the rented equipment previously described and signed in the contract remain in perfect conditions. If the lab is occupied after the period described in the contract, Aclam Foto has the right to keep  the deposit up to 24h after the end of the rental, enough to allow Aclam Foto to check the conditions of the set.

Can I cancel my booking?

You can cancel any booking up to 24 hours prior to the pick-up time. If you cancel a booking with less than 24 hours’ notice, the cost of the first day’s rental will be charged and up to 50% of the total rental costs, to cover any loss of income and other detriment incurred.

Can I extend my rental period?

If you wish to extend a rental period once it has already begun, you must inform us via e-mail or telephone. We will check whether an extension is possible on the basis of availability and arrange payment of the price differential.

Is the equipment insured?

Our equipment is insured; however, we request a deposit equivalent to the sum of the excess payable on our insurance. The customer must sign a declaration when picking up the equipment to confirm it is in perfect condition, and undertake to return it in the same condition.

What happens if the equipment is stolen or damaged while being used or shipped?

Our insurance covers damage or theft of the equipment while it is rented out. However, our insurance has a €300 excess payment for any claim, which we will recover regardless of the circumstances (provided that the incident was not the result of misuse or negligence). If the incident was the result of misuse or negligence (e.g. loss or theft), we may claim up to 100% of the value of the equipment. Consequently, under such circumstances we would require all the documentation necessary to substantiate each case.

Do the set and the lab have an insurance?

The set and the lab have an insurance but we ask a fee that covers the deductible or excess of the insurance.  The lessee will sign and declare that they received the equipment / the space in perfect conditions and commits to return it the same way it was. 

Can the lab be shared?

Yes, but if this is the case nothing can occur to damage your developing’s. The customer declares having read the terms of use when signing the contract. Aclam Foto does not take responsibility for any incidence that could cause damages to the works.

What should I do if the equipment is stolen or damaged while being used or shipped?

Under such circumstances, you would need to inform us straight away by calling 934 872 045 or our emergency number 661 689 556. We will help you obtain all the necessary documentation so that our insurance can cover the costs (excluding the €300 excess), provided the incident was not the result of misuse or negligence.

What happens if the set, the lab or the hired equipment’s are damaged?

Our insurance covers damage that might be generated during the use of the spaces and equipment. This insurance has a deductible/excess of 300€, this amount will be claimed whatever the circumstances are. In case this damage is caused by a bad use or negligence we reserve the right to ask up to 100% of the goods. That is why we will ask for all the necessary paperwork to justify Avery case.

Do the cameras come with batteries?

All our cameras include a charger and two batteries. If you require more, please check availability by sending an e-mail to foto@aclam.cat, by calling 934 842 046 or by detailing your requirements in the Comments section of the estimate.

Do the cameras come with memory cards?

The cameras do not come with memory cards: these are available as a cost option. You can select them from the pull-down menu on the left-hand side of the webpage and add them to your budget.

Do the lenses come with filters?

All our lenses are protected by a UV filter, when the characteristics of the individual lenses allow it. Other filters are available and can be added to your estimate by selecting them from the pull-down menu on the left-hand side of the webpage.

Does the rental of the studio include equipment?

No, the rental of the set includes the set space, the dressing rooms and the kitchen-office. For more information you can check the tab on the drop down menu on the left side of the site.

Does the rental of the lab include equipment?

It lies in a rental of 10 hours at a lower price. This periodical pass allows you to use this hours the way it suits you best, always with in the established schedule (from 9 to 14h and from 16 to 19h).

Is there a minimum of hours to rent the set or the lab?

Yes, the minimum time to rent any of the spaces is a 3 hour period. You can check the hourly rates at the tap on the drop down menu on the left side of the site.

How does the lab periodical pass work?

It lies in a rental of 10 hours at a lower price. This periodical pass allows you to use this hours the way it suits you best, always with in the established schedule (from 9 to 14h and from 16 to 19h).

Can I download a list of the equipment?
